Center for Medical Technology

Patrick Roth
CEO, Competence Center for Medical Technology

Abstract

CCMT - Promoting Swiss MedTech Innovation: The foundation Competence Center for Medical Technology (CCMT) serves as a KTT networking- and communications-platform between academic aR&D service providers, and the medical technology industry. The CCMT contacts and visits potential industry partners on a regular basis in order to communicate the competences of its academic partners, and initiate project collaborations. Its goal is to initiate, enable and support KTI/CTI projects. Special consideration is also given to all aspects of intellectual property rights and contracting (in close collaboration with the official KTT offices of the academic partners). In parallel to its KTT efforts the CCMT also supports academic partners in various aspects of PR and marketing. The CCMT is supported by its founders (University of Bern, Berne University of Applied Sciences, and the Medical Cluster), the Economic Development Agency of the Kanton Bern, the Whoch6 Initiative and the annual fees of its academic members.
